Matthew Ray Oney de 35 años, de Charter Oak, fue arrestado y acusado de cinco cargos de intento de asesinato, un cargo de incendio premeditado en primer grado y un cargo de conducta delictiva en primer grado por incendiar la casa ubicada en 2710 140 St., donde se encontraban cinco personas, que incluye a su ex esposa y dos menores de edad, el domingo 2 de abril por la mañana en Dow City.
Según los documentos públicos de la Corte, Matthew se encuentra en la cárcel los siguientes cargos:
Primer Cargo: Incendio en Primer Grado, un delito mayor de Clase B, en violación de la Sección 712.1,712.2 del Código Penal de Iowa. En el cual el demandado Matthew Ray Oney, el 27 de marzo de 2022, liberada e ilegalmente incendió la propiedad ubicada en la dirección 2710 140th Street, con presencia de una o más adentro de la propiedad.
Segundo Cargo: Intento de Cometer Asesinato, un delito grave de Clase B, en violación de la Sección 707.11(1), 707.11(2) del Código Penal de Iowa. Matthew Ray Oney, de manera ilegal, deliberada e intencionalmente intentó causar la muerte de CP (iniciales de un menor de edad) en circunstancias que no justificadas de las acciones de la persona que dan como resultados poner en marcha una fuerza o cadena de eventos que pueden causar o pueden resultaren provocar la muerte de otra persona.
Tercer Cargo: INTENTO DE COMETER ASESINATO, un delito grave de Clase B, en violación de la Sección 707.11(1), 707.11(2) del Código Penal de Iowa. El demandado Matthew Ray Oney, intentó intencional y deliberadamente causar la muerte de O. O. (iniciales de un menor de edad).
Cuarto Cargo: INTENTO DE COMETER ASESINATO, un delito grave de Clase B, en violación de la Sección 707.11(1), 707.11(2) del Código Penal de Iowa. El demandado, Matthew Ray Oney, intentó ilegal, deliberada e intencionalmente causar la muerte de Randy Park en circunstancias que no justificarían la muerte de la persona.
Quinto Cargo: INTENTO DE COMETER ASESINATO, un delito grave de Clase B, en violación de la Sección 707.11(1), 707.11(2) del Código Penal de Iowa. El demandado, Matthew Ray Oney, intentó ilegal, deliberada e intencionalmente causar la muerte de Holly Oney en circunstancias no justificadas.
Cabe mencionar que según fuentes fidedignas la casa en mención era propiedad de los padres de Holly Oney, donde murieron dos mascotas.

Matthew Ray Oney, 35, of Charter Oak, was arrested and charged with five counts of attempted murder, one count of first degree arson, and one count of first degree criminal mischief for setting fire to the home located at 2710 140 St. , where five people were, including his ex-wife and two minors, on Sunday morning, April 2, in Dow City.
According to public court documents, Matthew is in jail on the following charges:
Count One: Arson in the First Degree, a Class B felony, in violation of Section 712.1, 712.2 of the Iowa Penal Code. In which defendant Matthew Ray Oney, on March 27, 2022, released and unlawfully set fire to the property located at 2710 140th Street, with the presence of one or more inside the property.
Count Two: Attempt to Commit Murder, a Class B felony, in violation of Section 707.11(1), 707.11(2), Iowa Penal Code. Matthew Ray Oney, unlawfully, willfully, and intentionally attempted to cause death of CP (initials of a minor) in circumstances that do not justify the actions of the person that result in setting in motion a force or chain of events that may cause or may result in the death of another person.
Count Three: ATTEMPTED TO COMMIT MURDER, a Class B felony, in violation of Section 707.11(1), 707.11(2) of the Iowa Penal Code. Defendant Matthew Ray Oney, intentionally and willfully attempted to cause the death of O. O. (initials of a minor).
Count Four: ATTEMPTED TO COMMIT MURDER, a Class B felony, in violation of Section 707.11(1), 707.11(2) of the Iowa Penal Code. The defendant, Matthew Ray Oney, unlawfully, willfully, and intentionally attempted to cause the death of Randy Park in circumstances that would not justify the person's death.
Count Five: ATTEMPTED TO COMMIT MURDER, a Class B felony, in violation of Section 707.11(1), 707.11(2) of the Iowa Penal Code. The defendant, Matthew Ray Oney, unlawfully, willfully, and intentionally attempted to cause the Holly Oney's death under unjustified circumstances.
It is worth mentioning that according to reliable sources the house in question was owned by Holly Oney's parents, where two pets died.
