Fiesta Latina en Storm Lake

Estos son parte de los jóvenes latinos que conforman RAICES de la Universidad de Buena Vista, organización que fue creada para empoderar y desarrollar lideres estudiantes del campus.

RAICES es el grupo de estudiantes de la Universidad de Buena Vista que en conjunto al Centro de Diversidad e inclusión de la misma universidad, representado por Joanna Chávez De León, son los organizadores de la Fiesta Latina que este domingo, 24 de abril se estará realizando en el parque Chautauqua de Storm Lake.
La actividad iniciará desde las 12:00 del mediodía con diferentes clases de actividades participativas para niños, jóvenes y adultos.
De igual manera habrá diferentes puestos de comita y negocios que aprovecharán la oportunidad para ofrecer trabajos y entrevistas.
Entre las actividades a realizarse se encuentra el grupo folclórico de la escuela High School de Storm Lake, Denison Mariachi, Clases de baile de Manuel De Aragon, juegos de Lotería y piñatas entre otras.
RAICES y la ciudad de Storm Lake invitan a todas comunidades a participar en la celebración de la cultura latina de Storm Lake.

These are part of the young Latinos that make up RAICES de la Universidad de Buena Vista, an organization that was created to empower and develop student leaders on campus.

RAICES is the group of students from the University of Buena Vista that together with the Center for Diversity and Inclusion of the same university, represented by Joanna Chávez De León, are the organizers of the Fiesta Latina that will be held this Sunday, April 24 in Storm Lake's Chautauqua Park.
The activity will start at 12:00 noon with different kinds of participatory activities for children, youth and adults.
In the same way there will be different committee positions and businesses that will take advantage of the opportunity to offer jobs and interviews.
Among the activities to be carried out is the folkloric group of the Storm Lake High School, Denison Mariachi, Manuel De Aragon dance classes, Lottery games and piñatas, among others.
RAICES and the City of Storm Lake invite all communities to participate in Storm Lake's celebration of Latino culture.
