El Oficial Allerdings del Departamento de Policía de Storm Lake trata abrir un vehículo para sacar las llaves que se encontraban adentro. Este es un servicio gratis que la policía de Storm Lake ofrece a su comunidad.

LA PRENSA Iowa agradece el excelente servicio del oficial Allerdings del Departamento de Policía de Storm Lake cuando el jueves 16 del presente mes a las 7:15 de la noche, Allerdings se presentó a los cinco minutos que mi colega y yo hablamos al departamento para preguntar si sabían de algún negocio que se dedicara a abrir puertas de carros, ya que la llave se nos había quedado adentro del vehículo. Ellos nos dijeron que el Departamento ofrecía el servicio requerido.
Cuando el oficial llegó a la dirección, muy amablemente se presentó y procedió a maniobrar la ventana para sacar la llave del vehículo. Nuestra sorpresa fue cuando al preguntarle cuánto debíamos, él respondió: “Nada, este es un servicio que nuestro departamento ofrece a nuestra población y visitantes de nuestra comunidad.”
Impresionados con la respuesta, mis compañeros y yo llamamos a los Departamentos de Policía de Denison y Carroll, para saber si ellos también ofrecen ese servicio gratis a los contribuyentes. Y tal como lo esperábamos, la operadora de los Departamentos mencionados nos remitió con números de negocios privados. En Denison el costo es de $20 antes de las 6:00pm y $20:00 extras después de las 6:00pm. Mientras en Carroll el costo es $40 antes de las 5:00pm., y $20.00 después de las $5:00pm

LA PRENSA Iowa appreciates the excellent service of Officer Allerdings of the Storm Lake Police Department when on Thursday the 16th of this month at 7:15 p.m., Allerdings showed up five minutes after my colleague and I called the department to ask If they knew of a business that was dedicated to opening car doors since the key had been left inside the vehicle. They told us that the Department offered the required service.
When the officer arrived at the address, he very kindly introduced himself and proceeded to maneuver the window to remove the key from the vehicle. Our surprise was when we asked him how much we owed, he replied: "Nothing, this is a service that our department offers to our population and visitors to our community."
Impressed with the response, my colleagues and I called the Denison and Carroll Police Departments to find out if they, too, are offering that service free to taxpayers. And just as we expected, the operator of the aforementioned Departments sent us with private business numbers. In Denison, the cost is $ 20 before 6:00 pm and an extra $ 20: 00 after 6:00 pm. While in Carroll the cost is $ 40 before 5:00 pm. and $ 20.00 after $ 5:00 pm.
