El evento anual de recaudación de fondos “Fiesta Mariachis” de la escuela Denison, regresa esta primavera. Y aunque este año se verá diferente a la Fiesta Mariachi pasada de los pasados años, el público todavía tendrá la oportunidad de ver a los conjuntos de mariachis de la escuela que se presentaran en vivo el sábado 1 de mayo en Washington Park.
En caso de mal tiempo, el evento se trasladará al gimnasio del DHS.
A diferencia de los eventos pasados, y debido a las precauciones de COVID-19, este año no habrá comida, pero los cuatro conjuntos de mariachis Denison actuarán, comenzando a las 3:30 en la concha acústica del parque.
Robert López, educador de mariachis del área de Las Vegas, estará trabajando con los estudiantes músicos a lo largo del día, brindándoles consejos y guías de la música que presentaran en el evento.
Este año la entrada al concierto va a ser totalmente gratis, sin embargo, en el evento habrá un balde para los que deseen hacer donaciones, para cubrir el costo de los nuevos uniformes de mariachis.
Los estudiantes también están contactando a las empresas que deseen aparecer como patrocinadores del este evento este año. Si su negocio o familia desea ser incluida, comuníquese con Ruben Newell de la escuela secundaria de Denison.

The Mariachi concert returns to Denison

Denison School's annual “Fiesta Mariachi” fundraiser returns this spring. And while this year will look different than the last Mariachi Party of the past few years, audiences will still have the opportunity to see the school's mariachi ensembles performing live on Saturday, May 1 in Washington Park.
In the event of inclement weather, the event will move to the DHS gym.
Unlike past events, and due to COVID-19 precautions, there will be no food this year, but all four Denison mariachi ensembles will perform, starting at 3:30 in the park's acoustic shell.
Robert López, a mariachi educator from the Las Vegas area, will be working with the student musicians throughout the day, providing tips and guidance on the music they will perform at the event.
This year the entrance to the concert will be totally free, however, at the event there will be a bucket for those who wish to make donations, to cover the cost of the new mariachi uniforms.
Students are also contacting companies that wish to appear as sponsors for this event this year. If your business or family would like to be included, contact Ruben Newell at Denison High School.
