Anthony Trejo mejor conocido como Tony fue designado como el nuevo jefe de policía de la ciudad de Denison en la reunión del consejo municipal del martes 6 de junio.
Su nombramiento marca su regreso a su ciudad natal y a su antiguo departamento de policía.
Tn 1990, Trejo se graduó de Denison High School. Anteriormente se desempeñó como oficial de patrulla y luego como sargento del Departamento de Policía de Denison, antes de ser nombrado oficial de policía de la ciudad de Johnston en mayo de 2018.
En febrero de 2020, Trejo fue uno de los tres policías de la ciudad de Johnston que recibió cartas de elogio por evitar que un joven saltara de un puente en julio de 1999.
Trejo fue designado para el Departamento de Policía de Denison en mayo de 2013 y luego nombrado sargento en diciembre de 2015.
Su primer servicio como oficial de policía fue con el Departamento de la Policía de Glenwood.

Anthony S. (Tony) Trejo was appointed as the new chief of police for the City of Denison at the Tuesday, June 6, city council meeting.
His appointment marks a return to his hometown and to his former police department.
Trejo is a 1990 graduate of Denison High School. He had previously served as a patrol officer and then a sergeant for the Denison Police Department, before being appointed as a police officer with the City of Johnston in May 2018.
He was appointed to the Denison Police Department in May 2013 and then appointed as a sergeant in December 2015.
His first service as a police officer was with the Glenwood Police Department.
Trejo had previously applied and been interviewed for the position of police chief in Denison in the fall of 2016, along with Ron Heeren with the Clinton Police Department and Dan Schaffer with the Iowa State Patrol. Schaffer was selected as police chief at that time and served through November 2021. Brandon Rinnan became the next police chief in Denison and served through April this year.
