El comité conformado para la discusión y toma de decisiones de la construcción del tan necesitado Wellnes Center en Denison, se reunió el miércoles 23 del presente mes en el centro de Conferencias de Boulders donde el señor Mike Pardun que como miembro de la comisión formó parte en la subcomisión que días pasados se reunieron con un ingeniero de la firma DAVIS para iniciar el proceso de busque del ingeniero que ofrezca la mejor cotización de construcción del Centro.
Otro integrante de la comisión es Tim Stuart, que informó que actualmente la comisión cuenta con $12,000 que fueron donados hace varios años por Crawford County Community Foundation (Fundación Comunitaria del Condado de Crawford, por su traducción al español), por una solicitud que dicho comité hizo a la fundación con el objetivo de tener fondos para pagar los planes de diseño del Wellness Center; idea que al parecer viene rondando desde hace varios años pero al parecer es hasta ahora que empieza a tener forma.
El diseño le dará a la comunidad una buena idea de cómo se vería la estructura una vez que este terminada. “Esto nos pone un paso más cerca de la realidad,” expresó la abogada Jennifer Zupp en una nota enviada a este medio.
Cabe mencionar que el Comité del proyecto Wellness Center solicitó el año pasado $10,000 a Union Pacific para ayudar a pagar las necesidades preliminares del proyecto. “Parte de ese dinero se gastó en una sesión de planificación moderada por un profesional,” dijo Tim Stuart, “Ahora que abrumadoramente sabemos el lugar que la comunidad desea que el Wellness Center se construya, según la reciente encuesta que se realizó en el condado, el saldo de ese dinero será empleado para realizar un estudio de viabilidad profesional.”

Wellness Center talks continue in Denison

It is worth mentioning that the site master plan/design plan and the feasibility study are necessary components for a project of this magnitude. The committee members want to make sure this project is done and planned in the best way possible for long-term success.
