Una persona murió y tres personas resultaron gravemente heridas en un choque frontal ocurrido el 15 del presente mes a las 7:40 de la mañana en la autopista 59 de Iowa cerca de la Avenida 25 Sur.
Según los detalles del comunicado de Prensa del Departamento de Iowa State Patrol Disctric 4 (Patrulla del Estado de Iowa del Distrito 4, por su traducción al español), en el accidente estuvieron involucrados un Nissan Sentra y un Toyota Camry. El Nissan, era conducido por Theresa Denery, de 30 años, residente de Cherokee que se dirigía hacia el norte cuando por razones desconocidas, cruzó la línea central chocando contra el Toyota.
Denery murió en el lugar del accidente.
La otra conductora, Corina Campa, de 39 años de Denison, y sus dos pasajeros, Esmeralda Luna, de 21, de Denison, y un niño de 7 años, resultaron gravemente heridos. Los tres fueron transportados en helicóptero al Centro Médico de la Universidad de Nebraska en Omaha.

One person was killed and three people were seriously injured in a frontal collision that occurred at 7:40 a.m. on the 15th of this month on Iowa Highway 59 near 25th Avenue South.
According to the details of the press release of the Department of Iowa State Patrol District 4 (Iowa State Patrol District 4, for its translation into Spanish), a Nissan Sentra and a Toyota Camry were involved in the accident. The Nissan was being driven by Theresa Denery, 30, a Cherokee resident who was heading north when, for unknown reasons, she crossed the center line and collided with the Toyota.
