Western Iowa Tech Community Collage (WIT por sus siglas en inglés) estará realizando un taller educativo ‘De camino a la Universidad’ este 13 de abril de 6pm a 8pm., dirigido especialmente para orientar a los padres de familia latinos y a sus hijos acerca de las oportunidades de aplicación para los diferentes programas existentes de asistencia financiera de estudios superiores gratis.
La directora de Denison WIT, Jessica García dijo a este medio, “Esta es una gran oportunidad para que los padres de familias asistan al evento para informarse de los diferentes programas que nuestro colegio está ofreciendo para los estudiantes sin importar el estatus migratorio o situación financiera que los estudiantes tengan.”
En la actividad se estará ofreciendo comida gratis y asistencia y cuidado de los niños para que los padres se sientan relajados y se involucren directamente en la información educativa del futuro de sus hijos que están en busca de oportunidades para asistir al colegio.
Jessica comento que el único requisito para asistir al evento es por medio del registro. “Es importante que los padres o sus hijos que están a punto de graduarse de la High School llamen a nuestro centro al (712) 263 - 3419 para registrar su asistencia al evento, ya que nosotros necesitamos saber el numero de personas que asistirán.” Las llamadas se pueden hacer en español, y dejar un mensaje dirigido Sandy Velásquez.

Western Iowa Tech Community College (WIT for its acronym in English) will be holding an educational workshop 'On the way to University' this April 13 from 6pm to 8pm, aimed especially at orienting Latino parents and their children about application opportunities for the different existing free higher education financial aid programs.
The director of Denison WIT, Jessica García said, "This is a great opportunity for parents to attend the event to learn about the different programs that our school is offering for students regardless of immigration status or financial situation of the student.”
In the activity, free food and assistance and child care will be offered so that parents feel relaxed and are directly involved in the educational information of the future of their children who are looking for opportunities to attend school.
Jessica commented that the only requirement to attend the event is through registration. “It is important that parents or their children who are about to graduate from High School call our Institution at (712) 263-3419 to register their attendance at the event, since we need to know the number of people who will attend.” Calls can be made in Spanish, and leave a message addressed to Sandy Velásquez.
