SCSO presentará a los Hermanos Villalobos

Los Hermanos Villalobos es un grupo musical originario de Xalapa, México, integrado de Ernesto Villalobos, Alberto “Beto” Villalobos y Luis Villalobos acompañados de sus violines, voces y gran talento artístico, que se estarán presentando en el gran espectáculo de la noche de baile de Symphony Block Party que la Orquesta Sinfónica de Sioux City presentará para cerrar el mes de la Herencia Hispana.

El 15 de octubre, la Orquesta Sinfónica de Sioux City (SCSO por sus siglas en inglés) ofrecerá una noche de baile, espectáculo y comida acompañados del talento de los Hermanos Villalobos, un trio de violinistas y cantantes originarios de Xalapa, México.
El director ejecutivo de SCSO Dr. Richard Steinbach comentó, “La presentación de Los Hermanos Villalobos será el gran cierre para despedir el mes de la herencia latina.”
Durante el año, SCSO presenta a una variedad de bandas provenientes de distintas culturas; por ejemplo, anteriormente presentaron al grupo Cubano Tiempo Libre, y este año en navidad se presentará el grupo Brule, incorporado de siete tribus nativos americanos.
“Pienso que este tipo de eventos une a la comunidad ya que la música es un lenguaje muy poderoso que todos tenemos en común,” expresó el Dr. Richard.
Aclamados internacionalmente por su estilo único de música, los Hermanos Villalobos junto SCSO se unen para presentar la riqueza de la música mexicana conjugado con una variedad de estilos musicales como el jazz y la Orquesta, en un evento donde toda la familia puede disfrutar.
Cabe agregar que el trio no solo compartirá el escenario con la Orquesta Sinfónica, sino que también serán acompañados por parte del Ballet Folclórico Estrellas de Jalisco, un grupo local dirigido por Lili Quiñones que presentará números adicionales después del concierto en el lobby Orpheum durante el “Symphony Block Party.”
“Las personas suelen pensar que la música de Orquesta es solo música clásica, pero en realidad es parte de varios estilos de música; queremos que la sinfonía sea una experiencia de la que todos puedan disfrutar es por eso que traemos a bandas como los Hermanos Villalobos para atraer a una audiencia aún más grande que normalmente no se presentan en otros conciertos de Orquesta Clásica,” explicó el Dr. Richard.
SCSO es el grupo más grande de intérpretes musicales en su región, cuya meta es alcanzar a todos los miembros de la comunidad e involucrarlos en lo que es el arte y la música. Además de los conciertos, SCSO cuenta con una gran variedad de programas educativos en las escuelas, donde los cuales los Hermanos Villalobos asistirán a Hunt A+ Elementary School el viernes, 14 de octubre a la 1:30 p.m.
El concierto será de 7:30 p.m. a 9:30 p.m., seguido de una presentación por parte de Mariachi Los Rancheros y Ballet Folclórico Estrellas de Jalisco que se presentarán de 9:30 p.m. a las 11:30 p.m. Además, en Symphony Block Party que estarán ofreciendo diferentes clases de suculentos platillos en Pierce Street.

This Saturday, October 15th, the Sioux City Symphony Orchestra (SCSO) will offer a night of dancing, entertainment and food accompanied by the talent of the Villalobos Brothers, a trio of violinists and singers from Xalapa, Mexico.
SCSO Executive Director Dr. Richard Steinbach said that "the presentation of the Villalobos Brothers will be the grand finale to end the Latino Heritage Month."
During the year, SCSO features a variety of bands from different cultures; for example, they previously presented the Cuban group Tiempo Libre, and this year it will present the Brule group, incorporated by seven Native American tribes, for Christmas.
"I think these kinds of events bring the community together because music is a very powerful language that we all have in common," Steinbach said.
Internationally acclaimed for their unique style of music, the Villalobos Brothers along with SCSO come together to present the richness of Mexican music along with a variety of styles such as jazz and orchestra at this event where the whole family can attend and have fun.
Additionally, the trio will not only share the stage with the symphony orchestra but will also be accompanied by the Ballet Folclórico Estrellas de Jalisco, a local group led by Lili Quiñones and who will dance additional numbers after the concert in the Orpheum lobby during the Symphony Block Party.
“People often think that orchestral music is just classical music, but in reality orchestra is part of several styles of music; we want the symphony to be an experience that everyone can enjoy, so that's why we bring in bands like the Villalobos Brothers to attract an even larger audience that wouldn't normally be presented at other classical orchestra concerts," Steinbach said.
He explained that SCSO is the largest group of musical performers in its region and whose goal is to reach all members of the community and involve them in art and music. In addition to the concerts, SCSO has a variety of educational programs in schools, of which the Villalobos Brothers will attend Hunt A+ Elementary School on Friday, October 14 at 1:30 p.m.
The concert will be from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., followed by a performance by Mariachi Los Rancheros and Ballet Folclórico Estrellas de Jalisco from 9:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. In addition, there will be food trucks present at the Symphony Block Party outside the facilities on Pierce Street.
