Investigators worked through the night and identified the person who was the subject of the incident, as well as a possible suspect. On the morning of Friday, June 2, an undercover police officer posing as a hit man made contact with the suspect. The undercover officer confirmed with the suspect that the suspect wanted to kill the target. The suspect confirmed the target's name, home address, and the time the target would be at the home. On Friday, at approximately 3:30 p.m. m., police located the suspect, a 17-year-old female at an address on Geisinger Road in Storm Lake. Investigators took the suspect into custody without incident.
